The word "destiny" has always fascinated me.
Let's say that I don't believe that everything is predestined incontrovertibly, but I think some of the milestones of our life has already been written. But it's up to us, with our forces, to reach each of them, so as to achieve the so-called "destiny". So, it isn't leaving drag from the course of events that we will see the complete realization of our journey, but rather by living fully and with the utmost of our energies. Only then, when we grew up, we will look behind us and understand what was our destiny and what we have done to accommodate the fate.
